Iceberg

For the last few weeks I've wanted to take pictures at the Iceberg so a few days ago I went with a group of friends and took some pictures. Yeah so here are the images. Enjoy.

Lamb: More Random Others

Lamb: Random others/follow up

After placing the lamb on a crucifix and placing it over a fire for a few hours the lamb ended up feeding a group of maybe 20 or so people. It was absolutely amazing. I didn't get any images of the final product, but here are a few random pictures from throughout the day.

Lamb: Seasoning

With a completely skinned lamb we took the meat into Beta, rinsed the meat, and began seasoning.

Lamb: Skinning

After removing the head the body was hung up to the side of Hess's car so it could be skinned. After cutting through the stomach its organs spilled out and were carefully removed. The process was relatively quick and actually pretty fun.

Lamb: Preparation

After we got back to Beta the lamb was taken out of the car and was prepared to be killed. After a moment of silence slash good thoughts Ryon killed it. It was dead within a second or two

Lamb: Choices

Kevin and Ryon had the idea to purchase a lamb and kill it, skin it, and cook it. So last thursday Kevin, Ryon, Stephen, Ferris and I went out to a sheep farm to pick one out. After talking to the little old lady who was selling us her sheep and chasing a herd of them into their pen we settled on a nice little lamb. It was surprisingly calm while it was being wrestled to the ground and tied up with a rope. After an exchange of $120 and sheep in hand we headed back to campus.

Walla Walla wheat fields

A few days ago I went out to the wheat fields around Whitman with some friends to watch the sunset. We drove around for awhile until we found a nice little area, set up camp and ended up having a great time.
