One crazy night...

A
About two months ago now, Alex, Sam, and I were hanging out one night when Sam received a text from his cousin/roommate, stating that his front door of his apartment was open and that he should go check up on it. After awhile we decided to go check things out, just to be safe. As we got there Sam hopped out of the car and ran in, as Alex and I were waiting in the car we could see sam through his living room window pacing. Jokingly Alex and I commented about how it would be funny if someone jumped out of a closet and went the way of Christian Bale in American Psycho on him. Simultaneously, Sam came sprinting out of his house and to the car. As he reached the car he began speaking to us in a whisper stating that his house was on fire. Later we discovered that he was whispering to us, because he did not want to wake the neighbors. In udder confusion we ran into his house to discover that the place was filled with smoke and Sam's room was ablaze. We attempted to battle it with coffee mugs and bowls for a matter of 30 seconds before we decided that it was too much for a few bowls and mugs to handle. At that point Alex had already called 911 and the crazy night began. In a fit of stunned hilarity and disbelief, Alex and I left and decided that it would be best if we returned on our bikes. When we returned we still had not heard from Sam and the police/fire department had arrived, so getting near the vicinity of the house was out of the question. We finally found Sam talking to his neighbors, but he was shortly taken away to discuss with the police. Long story short, Alex and I spent 5-6 hours at the neighbors house while Sam was handcuffed on the ground (while being told the entire time that his story "was full of shit" by the fire marshall), because they believed he had started the fire, even though he had been with us for the entire day. The next day Mark, Alex, Sam, and I went to the remains that was his house to clean it up. Its been almost two months now and Sam still hasn't heard anything about his house...
